The instrumented crutch in use alongside its digital twin

Retrofitted a crutch with integrated load-cell buttons and custom 3D-printed housings to capture real-time weight distribution, enabling direct comparison with a 3D digital twin for interactive biomechanical analysis and teaching applications.

Through this project, I learned how to design reliable sensor interfaces, translate physical measurements into meaningful digital models, and balance accuracy, usability, and manufacturability when building human-facing sensing systems.
